2 Months from today...

We should have a babay!! :) I cannot believe we only have 8 weeks left... Crazy! If anyone told me pregnancy went by this fast I would not have believed them, but 9 months really feels like 3!

*31 Weeks*

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 31 weeks
Size of baby: The size of 4 navel oranges – over 16 inches long and a/b 3 1/2 lbs.
Maternity Clothes: Umm yes. However, It’s not all comfortable these days.
Gender: IT’S A BOY!!!!!!!
Movement: His movements have definitely changed. I don’t feel quick jabs as much anymore, but more of a huge bulge like he is going to pop out of my stomach! Ha, I think it’s getting a bit tight in there!
Sleep: I knew I would jinx myself… but it’s only been a few bad nights. It’s frustrating to go to bed when the street lights come on only to wake up and feel like it’s 4 in the morning! Ugh, oh well. I will not complain.
What I miss: Being able to get comfortable. Sleeping or whatever it is… make way for the belly!
Cravings: Just sweets, what’s new?!
Symptoms: Mostly tiredness…
Best Moment this week: Adding some smocking to Grayson’s closet! ;)…

Funny story, I decided to get out and about Saturday morning to do some shopping for Grayson. I somehow manage to find my way to Cotton Tails… hmm how about that! That store is dangerous. I am trying not to buy too far in advance if I can resist since I don’t know how big he is going to be, but I did find this newborn smocked bubble that I just had to purchase! A little smocked bonnet type hat came with it too… Well, when I got home I showed Chris the things I bought and his response on that outfit was, “What is he Amish or something?” Haha! It was quite funny because it sure does look like it, but no he is just going to be the sweetest little bubbled boy in the world! :) I love Chris’s take on things… I made it clear that these “Amish” outfits will be around the Clark house for a good while! :)

And guess what!!! We get to see our baby boy on Thursday!! We scheduled an appt. for a 4d ultrasound and I am so excited! We weren’t going to do it at first, but we kinda got itching to see that sweet face! I can’t wait to see what he looks like! We haven’t gotten to see him since 22 weeks so I am sure he’s done some changing! I will definitely share the pics, so stay tuned…
MUCH LOVE TO ALL!!

3 to the 0!

So I'm late on the 30 week update, which I was 30 weeks on Sunday, and I have no pictures but I promise to have a more exciting update next week! I might even venture out and purchase 4 navel oranges (his size) for the pic, ha! Anywho~ nothing crazy has been going on in our world this past week. We celebrated Father's Day and my mother-in-law's birthday pool side on Sunday which was a good time! My Daddy got to feel Grayson hiccup on Father's Day too! Thought that was pretty cool :) Men are men and don't get all mushy gushy too often, but I can really tell this whole baby thing is hitting my Dad and it makes my heart so happy! I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful Daddy and I know he is going to be the best "Pop"! He will finally be able to teach someone how to play golf and they won't be near as bored as my sister and I were, haha! I am sure he will also try to make a hunter out of Grayson, oh lawdy that gives me a heartattack! I can't wait to see them together... I can tell there is already so much love there!! I love ya Daddy :) {& Grayson does too!}

*30 WEEKS!*

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 30 weeks
Size of baby: The size of a head of cabbage – a/b 15.7 inches long and 3 lbs.
Maternity Clothes: For sure!
Gender: IT’S A BOY!!!!!!!
Movement: All the time! He is much higher in my rib cage and I can sometimes feel either his butt or head poking out! It’s crazy!!

Sleep: Still going good! Hope it stays that way, but I am sure it won’t!
What I miss: Nothing much! Life is good!
Cravings: Nothing lately… I mean who can’t always go for some ice cream? Ha! Oh, and I discovered Jerry's Sno Cones... bad, bad idea. I have already made 2 visits in 1 week :) ha! That place is amazing!!

Symptoms: Nothing new! Just a’growin!
Best Moment this week: Due to a little fall/scare I had in the yard! {It’s funny now that everything is ok! Haha!} I got to hear his heartbeat last week and he was kicking so hard it was making loud noises on the little doppler. She assured me he was having soccer practice… Chris loved that :)

We went to the doctor yesterday for my check up, which by the way I am loving going every 2 weeks now! We heard the heartbeat which was 140 and she said my measurements were on the dot! We talked about things to come in the coming weeks and it got me so excited, yet a bit nervous. I went home and read my "What to Expect When Expecting" book, like that was going to make me feel more prepared or something. Ha! As my Mom says it just comes natural, so I am clinging on to that. I guess there is no way to put this parenting thing in black and white. I know I can do it, I guess just knowing every baby is different and you're not going to know what to do until the time comes is a little out of my element. I am quite the planner, but I am learning to let go. I know God will take care of him {and Chris & I too} as we discover this new life! I can't wait :)

Me-n-My Sweet & The Beach!

It's back to reality! However, I cannot complain about reality these days! I am going on week 30 and therefore, my emotions are running high!! {happy ones too, haha!} Work of course was not fun to come back to, but I can't complain... I feel very thankful these days! I must say my Florida girls trip was a blast!! However, before I left Chris & I shared a very special weekend!!... Our 1 Year Anniversary! It was extra special and I feel so blessed to have this guy as the main man in my life! He sure stole my heart and keeps me falling everday! I love him to pieces!
We went to the ZZ Top ~ Live at the Garden concert Saturday night! It was so fun! We had never been to one of the Live at the Garden concerts and I would highly recommend it! We packed up a cooler full of grub & drinks, added a citronella candle and some chairs and a blanket and we were set!! It was so fun! We were up dancing by the end of the night!

My lil' stud;)
It was a perfect night and a great way to celebrate a wonderful year together! We spent Sunday doing what we love best... a movie and dinner at (my fav) Houston's!

Then the Hub's surprised me with this beautiful diamond necklace! I had said a long time ago that I would love something like this when we had the baby. Well, his tricky little self remembered and it was such a sweet surprise! I absolutely love it and don't think I'll ever take it off! :)

As you know, I went to Florida last week for my good friend Annie's bachelorette weekend!! It was an absolute blast! It was so nice to get to sit on the beach for 3 days straight and catch up with some of my bestest friends. I think one of my favorite parts was the last night when we just sat out by the pool until the wee hours reminiscing about crazy things we did in high school. Wow! We sure had some good/funny/scary times! Haha! I wish I could go back to high school for a week with those girls - however, I think we realized once again this trip we can't hang like we used to! I actually stayed up way past my bedtime each night... I found it very hard to cut my time with my girlies short. It was a super trip! Here is a little look into our trip highlights... (sorry for the picture overload!)

Bridesmaid's monogramed towels, courtesy of the bride! The girls on the beach (sorry nothing cute about a preggo in a swimsuit!)

Julie, Ash, Catie, Annie, Me, Lauren and Magen
Annie & her mom, we love Marth!
Ashlee has become quite the paparazzi, I guess that's what kids will do to ya!
The Martin's Beach house!
Believe it or not, I got ready before everyone and decided to take a walk over to the beach to see the sunset. It was beautiful! I just sat there and soaked it all in... God's beautiful creation and how blessed we are!Headed to dinner @ Boathouse!
Love you Shmannie! A yummy treat for the bachelorette!
Marth definitely made Annie get a picture keychain for Patrick! haha! Gotta love her! Bach party night!! Our decor! Ashlee's "suck for a buck" ball she made! Annie actually made some good $$!!Me & St. Pauli got crazy! Ha, non-alcoholic beer not too shabby! Sweet little Aven's first bachelorette party! Too sweet! The bridesmaid's (a few missing) with the bride!

Catie, Me, Julie, Ash, Annie, Lauren, Magen and EmileeWhat a fun trip!! Julie was such an amazing host and the woman of the weekend was so fun to celebrate!! I am so happy for Annie and Patrick!! I love seeing the little glow on my Shmannie's face and I'm so happy she found someone like Patrick! Now I am just keeping my legs fingers crossed that this little bambino will stay put until after August 13th. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else but right besides her on her special day!! Cheers to a wonderful getaway with some of my favorite girls! Love you all!!

*29 Weeks!*I'm 29 weeks!

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 29 weeks
Size of baby: The size of a butternut squash – over 15 inches long and a/b 2 1/2 lbs.
Maternity Clothes: Couldn’t live without em’!
Gender: IT’S A BOY!!!!!!!
Movement: He has been moving a lot more lately! I think it’s getting tight in there… I can feel him skimming his feet along the upper part of my stomach. I love it!!
Sleep: I hope I don’t jinx myself, but I am still sleeping really well! I am hoping I can get most everything done before the no sleep kicks in!
What I miss: Nothing really… maybe being able to bend over easily and just usual activities. I would love a good sweaty run, but it’s not so easy with this big belly!! Oh well, I think I will need it more post pregnancy, ha!
Cravings: Nothing crazy, but things I used to hate sound good now (oreos/pimento cheese??) and things I used to love sound yuck (onions/mushrooms). Weird?
Symptoms: The only new one is I’m starting to get cramps in my legs, but other than that just getting bigger by the day, ha!
Best Moment this week: Sitting on the beach day dreaming about what the beach would be like next year. I just cannot wait to sit his little butt right in the sand and watch him explore :)

Whew, ok now I think I'm caught up!! The nursery is in full force so I hope to have some pictures to share soon! Chris has decided we need to have everything done by the begining of August! Ha, I love it - I think he's starting to freak a little himself... hmm how bout that:)

Much Love~

Prayers, please!

I have an urgent prayer request. Our good friend, Amanda Bousson Cantrell's husband was in a car wreck this past Friday. He broke his femur and had to have surgery. He was talking hours after it, but then fell into a sleep and was unresponsive for a couple of days. The doctors were stumped, but now Luke's EEG is showing firda. I am no doctor, but it seems that this is much better than some of the things they were suspecting. No strokes have been detected and he is expected to make a full recovery! He is responding slighty (praise the Lord!), but not many changes have happened today. However, it is progress! It is now just a waiting game for him to wake up. Please join me in praying for this sweet family... Amanda and Luke Cantrell and their precious babies, Kate & Preston... and of course The Bousson's. We love ya'll so much!

*I am working on my trip blog post and hope to have it up tomorrow! Many pictures & fun times to share~ xo

Sweet Summertime!

It's officially summertime and I've got a sunburn to prove it! Chris & I got fried this weekend and it only took one pool day. I guess we didn't realize how much our pasty-selves were going to burn because we even put sunscreen on, but it really didn't help. Oh well, nothing a cold bottle of aloe can't cure:) This past weekend was spent sharing quality time with friends & family. It was so nice!

Saturday we hung out with some buddies at the Harrison's casa and played with some sweet little girls and baby boys! It seems like everyone is having boys! I love it and can't wait for them all to become buddies! Sunday we packed up and headed over to the Clark's pool for a full day of sun & grilling out. It was so fun & I was loving getting to float on my tummy!! It was really weird because I haven't been able to lay that way since the begining of pregnancy and it was so nice to be comfortable and just relax! If it weren't for the pool, I doubt I would be spending much time outdoors... it literally went from 60 to 90 overnight and I can feel every bit of it! Oh well, my little summer baby will be worth it in the end:)

Sunday night we had a cornhole tourney at the Miskel's. It was lots of fun and the boys took this cornhole tournament quite seriously. Chris asked at midnight if he could play one more tournament! Not game, but tournament!! I was trying to hang in there, but it got mighty difficult. Somehow I ended up being the last girl there with all the guys playing cornhole and I am not quite sure how that happened? ha! I decided I had enough and took it to the house to get ready for bed and returned to pick my little child up from "playing". Needless to say I slept later than I have in a looong time on Monday!! Oh what you will do for your sweet boy...

Speaking of, this Sunday is our one year anniversary!!! I cannot believe it has already been a year!! This has been one of the best years of my life and I never knew how much more I would love this man in a year! I feel so blessed to share each day of my life with him and the journey we have ahead of us. Thank you God for blessing me with this amazing person and all you have blessed us with in just this one year; You are truly amazing! I love you Christopher Lee :)

Here are a few pictures to highlight our weekend...

Ha, twinks! Sisters have great taste, huh?:) Look at this sweet thing, Mr. Ryder Holley :)

The crew enjoying some grill-n-pool time! And he's off... Got him!! I am headed out of town next week to stick my toes in the sand one last time before baby Grayson arrives! I am off to celebrate a good friends Bachelorette weekend and doubt I will have time to do any blogging, so my 27 & 28 week (which I will be on Sunday) post is combined... Enjoy!

*27/28 Weeks!*

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 27/28 weeks
Size of baby: The size of a head of cauliflower (27) & a chinese cabbage (28) – almost 15 inches long and a/b 2 and a quarter lbs.
Maternity Clothes: Yes indeed! I can still wear some normal stuff, but it’s getting to the point where maternity is much more comfortable for this big bump!
Gender: IT’S A BOY!!!!!!!
Movement: All the time! He is ready to party at about 9:30 pm – too bad Momma is not! Ha! I love the big kicks, they make me laugh. We played a little game last night and everytime I would push my tummy he would give me a big jolt :) Also, I can now tell what side of my tummy he is on because there is a big bulge, hehe :)
Sleep: I really hope not, but I am starting to feel a bit of that 1st trimester sleepiness… not near as bad but naps are sounding better and better in the afternoon! I am just trying to enjoy the sleep I can get for now, because I hear pretty soon the sleep will not happen!
What I miss: Nothing really, maybe a cold brew by the pool but not really… I wouldn’t change this for the world!
Cravings: Ice cream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!!! :)
Symptoms: With the heat and being on my feet a lot this weekend I started to swell a bit, yuck! Other than that just the usual and I feel like my belly has doubled in the past few days!
Best Moment this week: Hearing the heartbeat! We had a doctor appt. yesterday and his heartrate was 145!! She said he’s a happy little boy :)

Yesterday at the doctor everything went very well! We heard the heartbeat which always make me smile and measurements and everything looked great! Also, I passed the glucose test! Woohoo, glad I do not have to worry about that! It looks like we will be going to the doctor every 2 weeks starting in about 3 weeks. I am so glad those 5 week stretches are over!! I like the updates of knowing my little booga is growing strong! Nonna & I will be spending some time tomorrow getting the nursery prepared! I have learned through this process to start the nursery planning early because you will run into problems! Thankfully it has all been cleared up and the correct glider is on the way and bedding that doesn't have upside down elephants on one side is on the way too! haha! I guess it called for a good laugh, but I sure didn't want my sweet little boy in his crib going 'uhoh, uhoh'. Haha! All is well now though and I will definitely post some pics. when it is closer to being complete!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! When I return I will be going on week 30 and holy smokes that gets me excited!!! :)
